Off-Campus Students

Follow these steps to get into the course that you need or want.

  1. Determine that you have the prerequisites or equivalent for the field course:

    If in doubt, contact the Department of Geosciences before sending a deposit.

  2. You may enroll in GO350 if you have had a field methods class or you certify in your application that you have the competencies required for enrollment in GO350

  3. Send all preliminary materials and nonrefundable fees.

    These include:

    *The application fee and the deposit must be paid with separate checks, made payable to Southeast Missouri State University, as they will go to separate accounts.

    Upon receipt of the above we will:

    Only housing and field transportation are included in the Geology Field Camp fee. All other personal expenses are the responsibility of the student. Especially note that meals are your responsibility. Meals are not included due to the variability in student tastes and appetites, and also because students can realize a significant savings in cost over cafeteria meal tickets.

  4. Pay remaining course fee by May 1, by check made payable to Southeast Missouri State University.

  5. You will be billed separately for tuition by Southeast Missouri State University, and this must be paid by the specified date in the billing.

  6. If you are interested in transportation from Cape Girardeau to St. George and return, please contact the Department of Geosciences as soon as possible. There are a limited number of seats available for $80 round trip on a first-come first-served basis.

  7. Make sure that you have the necessary items for field work.
