Your Government Documents Depository is located on the third floor of Kent Library at Southeast Missouri State University. We were designated a Federal Depository in 1916, and a Missouri Depository in 1977. The Federal Depository serves to provide resources to meet the Federal information needs for the people of the 8th U.S. Congressional District for the State of Missouri. We help serve the needs of our academic and congressional communities by providing professional assistance in the use and understanding of government documents and materials we have in our expansive collection. Federal Depository libraries to our district are located in Carbondale, IL and St. Louis, MO. The only other depository serving the 8th Congressional District is located at the University of Missouri--Rolla, over 3 1/2 hours away.
We have over 268,000 Federal and 23,000 Missouri State publications, 1,400 CD-ROMs, 12,500 Maps, and almost 300,000 microfiche. Available are two networked Pentium workstations for your use when accessing our CD-ROM collection. Microfiche readers are available both in the Depository area and in the periodicals area of Kent Library. For accessing Federal Documents published prior to 1976, click here for instructions.
