MATT DETJEN FUNDRAISING AT INDIANA’S ALL-BOYS
WABASH
COLLEGE
Matt Detjen is serving as the Assistant
Director of the Greater Wabash Foundation at Wabash College in
Indiana. The 55-acre wooded campus is located in Crafordsville,
Indiana, a community of 14,000 located 45 miles northwest of
Indianapolis. Detjen serves as part of the fundraising team for
this private, independent, four year liberal arts college of 860
men. It is one of the few remaining all-male colleges in the
nation.
Detjen was part of Wabash’s comprehensive
capital campaign, which surpassed its goal of $132.5 million,
and represents three times more money than the 172 year-old
school had previously raised in a single campaign. The $136.1
million is believed to be the largest campaign total ever by a
college with fewer than 900 students.
Prior to coming to Wabash, Detjen worked at
Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana's only
comprehensive children's hospital. He began his career with
Lambda Chi Alpha Headquarters, first as an ELC, then heading
expansion efforts for the Fraternity.
Wabash is home to 10 national fraternities,
including Lambda Chi Alpha.
