Scott Giles Continues Powerful Influence in Missouri Higher Education  

Scott Giles made a name for himself as a Lambda Chi at Southeast Missouri State University, where he served as a member of the Board of Regents, as President of the Interfraternity Council, and as a member of the staff of the Office of the President under Dr. Kala M. Stroup.   

Giles went on to serve the United State Federal Reserve, and now enjoys a prominent role in the Missouri Department of Higher Education.   

Recently the “Mapping Your Future CEO Board” selected Scott Giles to serve as the new board chair.  Mapping Your Future is a national collaborative effort of the financial aid industry - bringing together the expertise of the industry to provide free college, career, financial aid, and financial literacy services for schools, students, and families.   

Giles, director of the Missouri Student Loan Group for the Missouri Department of Higher Education, will serve as Mapping Your Future’s CEO board chair throughout the fiscal year. The Mapping Your Future CEO board chair is selected every September for the upcoming fiscal year.  

As board chair, Giles will oversee the responsibilities of the board which include providing strategic direction for the organization, reviewing and recommending an annual budget, selecting members of the Mapping Your Future Steering Committee, and approving major policies, procedures and projects. Giles has been a member of the Mapping Your Future CEO Board since Oct. 1, 2003.  

Giles is also currently a Guaranty Agency Board Member for the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs.
