The product that had to be used in a
video this year was duct tape. The brothers at Delta Phi Zeta who
participated in the video worked very hard and spent
some long hours on the project. This video could not
have been accomplished without the help and guidance
of Brother Matt Hickey (DF
370).
Billy Garrett is 2008 SEMO Man of the
Year!
Southeast Missouri State's 2008 Homecoming was held
on the weekend of October 25-26. The men of Delta
Phi Zeta are proud to announce that at the football
game Saturday afternoon, Brother Billy Garrett (DF
366) was named the 2008 SEMO Man of the Year!
Within the chapter, Billy serves as current High
Theta. He is also involved in Up Til' Dawn, Student
Government, Presidential Ambassadors, Residence Hall
Association, Tutorial Services, and is a Residential
Advisor. With Billy's victory, Delta Phi Zeta
boasts the winning Man of the Year for the past
three years (James Wells 2006, Matt Knickman 2007)!
General Assembly 2008 Brings SEVEN Awards to Delta
Phi and approved into the Inner Circle!
This past week was the 2008 Lambda
Chi Alpha General Assembly in Phoenix, Arizona.
Lambda Chi Alpha brothers Travis Neel, Jackson
Seemayer, and John Tomaszewski were in attendance as
well as Alumni Brother Aaron Wright. The chapter was
able to bring home the following accomplishments:

The chapter is also able to boast of
Brother John Tomaszewski serving as the chapters
first member of the International Ritual Team and
Aaron Wright serving as the chapters first Master
Steward. Delta Phi Zeta is also proud to annouce
that we have been chosen as an Inner Circle Chapter
for the 2008-2009 year. The Inner Circle is the
second phase of the True Brother Initiative that
chapters must apply and be approved to join.
Student Life and Leadership Awards 2008
At this years Student Life and
Leadership Awards hosted by Southeast President Ken
Dobbins, Lambda Chi Alpha was the first ever
fraternity to win the Outstanding Student
Organization of the Year. The Awards Committee also
chose 2 First Year Student Award winners, which were
Joe Craig and Benjamin Hooe ; Billy Garrett won the
University Service Award for his dedication to
community service, and the President hand selected
three students for the President's Spirit of
Southeast Award. Two of the winners were Joe Gholson
and Matt Knickman
