Stories and myths are associated with the various constellations in virtually every culture. In this activity, students can make up their own constellations and the stories that go with them. |

| 2-4 | Cereal Box Constellations | Stars and constellations. Students make their own constellation viewers out of cereal boxes. Suitable for use as an at-home activity if desired. |
| 2-5 | Star Gazer | Identification of selected constellations. Students construct their own star-gazer “telescope” using potato chip cans and provided constellation patterns. |
| 4-6 | Star Light, Star Bright | Students learn to identify selected constellations and how to locate them in the night sky amid all the other stars. |
