Ollie Bogdon holds two degrees from Cornell University: a Masters of Science in Adult and Continuing Education and a Bachelors of Science in Communication and Public Relations.  She also has her PhD in Education and Public Affairs and Administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. In August of 2004 Ollie joined the newly formed Missouri NASA Education Program which expands the services offered by Missouri’s NASA Education Resource Center, located at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

Ollie serves the Kansas City Region and beyond in Missouri to provide students, pre-service and K-12 teachers workshops and presentations using NASA’s math, science, and technology resources. Ollie works in close collaboration with the Kansas City Regional Professional Development Center to help develop and deliver tailored high quality professional development using NASA resources for area schools and districts. Ollie is quick to remind people that NASA is more than just space. In fact, her favorite NASA materials usually center on topics NASA has researched looking at planet Earth. She is a seasoned veteran in the Environmental and Conservation Education fields having presented papers and talks at conferences and leadership clinics throughout the United States. Ollie has been conducting teacher training and professional development programs for over 20 years. She is excited to share her love of learning with teachers and students alike, and hopes to help inspire the next generation of scientists and explorers.
