THE CURRICULAR PROCESS
COURSE DEVELOPMENT
The primary responsibility for course development rests with individual
faculty working within the department. The collegial process in the
University ensures open discussion and dialogue about instructionally related
questions. Review committees such as College Council, Graduate Council,
University Studies Council, Honors Council, and Academic Council may be
involved in the review process. Normally, though, beyond the college
level, course approval procedure is one of notification, unless questions
arise about the course proposal.
