POSITION: Tenure-Track
Faculty Position in Accounting, Rank of Assistant Professor or Instructor
(ABD).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary teaching
opportunities in financial, accounting information systems, tax,
not-for-profit, and/or auditing. Effective teaching and
scholarly accomplishments consistent with the teacher-scholar model and AACSB
accreditation. Involvement with university and
professional service. Normal
teaching load is 9 hours per semester and may involve ITV and on-line
instruction. Position is available
August 2008.
QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED:
PhD/DBA in Accounting (ABD considered), strong communication and interpersonal
skills, demonstrated potential for very effective teaching and high quality
scholarly work; demonstrated commitment to working with multicultural
populations, and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities.
PREFERRED: Professional
certification, practical business/accounting experience, and/or experience
working with external constituencies.
SALARY: Competitive
and commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Fringe
