POSITION: Tenure-Track
Faculty Position in Marketing, Rank of Assistant Professor.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching
undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing and entrepreneurship. Seeking candidates who have interests in
teaching in the area of entrepreneurship and at least two of these areas of
marketing: professional selling, sales
management, sports marketing, brand management, pricing and/or supply chain
management. It would be expected that
the candidate would engage in outreach service activities provided by the
Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Co-advising one of the department’s student organizations would also be
expected. Other expectations include
effective teaching, scholarly accomplishments consistent with the
teacher-scholar model and AACSB accreditation, and university and professional
service. Normal teaching load is 9 hours per semester and may involve ITV and
on-line instruction. Position available August 2010 but may be able to start as
early as January 2010.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: PhD/DBA in
Marketing or Entrepreneurship (ABD with degree completed by spring 2011 will be
considered), demonstrated potential for excellent teaching and research, strong
communication and interpersonal skills, potential for interacting effectively
with external constituencies, demonstrated commitment to working with
multicultural populations, and awareness of issues affecting women and
minorities.
SALARY: Competitive
and commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Competitive
