POSITION: Tenure-Track
Faculty Position in Management, Rank of Assistant Professor.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching
undergraduate and graduate courses in management and business; primary teaching
responsibilities include areas of entrepreneurship and human resource
management. Additional teaching
opportunities may include organizational behavior. It would be expected that the candidate would
engage in activities with the student organization related to entrepreneurship
and outreach service activities provided by the Center for Innovation and
Entrepreneurship. Effective teaching and
scholarly accomplishments consistent with the teacher-scholar model and AACSB
accreditation, and university and professional service are also expected.
Normal teaching load is 9 hours per semester and may involve ITV and on-line
instruction. Position available January 2010 but starting date could be changed
to August 2010, depending on the applicant’s circumstances.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: PhD/DBA in
Management or closely related business discipline (ABD with degree completed by
spring 2011 will be considered), demonstrated potential for excellent teaching
and research, strong communication and interpersonal skills, potential for
interacting effectively with external constituencies, demonstrated commitment
to working with multicultural populations, and awareness of issues affecting
women and minorities.
SALARY: Competitive
and commensurate with professional experience and qualifications. Competitive
