Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology
POSITION: Assistant Professor in Criminal Justice. A tenure-track position in
the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology. Review of applications will begin
DATE: Position available August 2008.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Criminal Justice; conducting research in area(s) of expertise; directing Master’s theses; advising undergraduate and graduate students; and participating in committee work, public service, and professional organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in criminal justice or criminology required; Juris Doctorate will not be considered. Teaching experience in the classroom as well as instructional television and web based courses is required. Candidates are also required to have a law enforcement specialization and a background in community service.

THE DEPARTMENT: The department includes 6 faculty members which serve approximately 400 undergraduate and graduate majors. In addition to a B.S. in Criminal Justice, the Department also offers a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice.
