Position Announcement

 

Position:

Assistant Professor of Human Environmental Studies, a full-time tenure-track position in the Department of Human Environmental Studies.  Review of applications will begin January 31, 2006.
 

Date:

Position available August 2006.
 
Responsibilities:

Assist in coordination of the interior design program, develop curriculum, and advise and recruit students to facilitate program growth.  Teach undergraduate courses; supervise internships and student organization; participate in committee work, service and professional organizations.
 

Qualifications: Masters Degree required; at least one degree in interior design.  Earned doctorate or ABD preferred.    Industry experience preferred; university teaching experience required.  Excellent written, verbal, teamwork and organizational skills required.  Demonstrable commitment to the teacher/scholar model, public and University service required.  Demonstrated commitment to working with multicultural populations and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities required.
     
Salary: Commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.  Excellent fringe benefits.
