Position Announcement

Nutrition Instructor

 

Position:                               Instructor of Human Environmental Studies, a full-time, non-tenure-track position in the Department of Human Environmental Studies.  Review of applications will begin May 1, 2008.

 

Date:                                      Position available August 2008.

 

Responsibilities:                Teach courses in nutrition and dietetics at off-campus sites; supervise undergraduate dietetics students and dietetic interns. Collaborate with faculty in curriculum development; and work with community partners to develop outreach activities.

 

Qualifications:                     Required:  Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field; registered dietitian licensed in Missouri (or willing to obtain) with one year’s professional experience; and willing to work a flexible class schedule and varied class formats to accommodate non-traditional students.  Excellent written, verbal, teamwork, and organizational skills.  Demonstrated commitment to working with multicultural populations and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities.

                                               

Salary:                                   Commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.  Excellent fringe benefits.
