POSITION: Assistant
Professor, Exercise Science, tenure-track.
POSITION
START DATE: August 2010.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas of
expertise; advise departmental majors; engage in scholarly activity; serve on
departmental/college/university committees; engage in community service
activities; recruit students into the Health Management program; participate in
professional organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in exercise physiology,
kinesiology, or related field. Will consider ABD for non-tenure-track position
(instructor) to be converted to tenure-track position upon completion of
doctorate. Demonstrated commitment to the teacher/scholar model and a
culturally diverse learning environment. Ability to teach courses from the
following areas: kinesiology, exercise physiology, strength and conditioning,
fitness assessment, exercise leadership, research methods, and other health
related areas.
SALARY: Commensurate with professional
experience and qualifications.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Health, Human
Performance and Recreation is housed in the College of Health and Human
Services and includes undergraduate and graduate majors in Athletic Training, Health
Management, Physical Education, Recreation, and Sport Management. The
Department has 16 full-time faculty members and approximately 680 majors.
