POSITION: Instructor/Non-tenure-track – Physical Education Pedagogy
START DATE: August
2008
RESPONSIBILITIES: Dynamic faculty seek colleague to assist in the expansion of an established accredited program in a proactive environment. Teach a variety of undergraduate courses in the Physical Education degree program on the Main Campus and at regional campuses; engage in community service activities; advise departmental majors; recruit students into the physical education program; serve on departmental/college/university committees; and participate in professional organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Earned master’s degree in Physical Education Pedagogy or closely related field. The successful candidate should have expertise in Physical Education Pedagogy with specific interests in Elementary Physical Education, Historical and Philosophical aspects of Physical Education, Rhythmic Activities, Movement, or Sport Activities.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation is housed in the College of Health and Human Services and includes undergraduate and graduate majors in Physical Education, Health Promotion, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Recreation and Sport Management. The department is noted for its dynamic faculty and commitment to experiential learning. The department consists of 14 faculty members serving approximately 600 majors.
