POSITION: Full-time, tenure track assistant professor
of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry

RESPONSIBLITIES:
-Teach forensic chemistry,
freshman chemistry and other courses as needed, depending on area of
specialization. Normal teaching load is 12-13 contact hours per semester.
-Establish a productive
research program to support our forensic chemistry options at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels
-Support the committee
structure of both the department and university
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: Minimum degree
requirement is a Ph.D. in Forensic Chemistry or a Ph.D. in Chemistry (any area)
with demonstrated forensic chemistry related experience or training;
demonstrated potential for successful teaching and research; demonstrated
commitment to working with multicultural populations and awareness of issues
affecting women and minorities.
SALARY: Commensurate with professional experience and

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Chemistry includes 11
faculty members and is approved by the American Chemical Society. The department offers undergraduate degree
programs in Chemistry (B.S./B.A.), Secondary Chemistry
Education (B.S.), and Medical Technology (B.S.), and a graduate degree program
in Applied Chemistry (M.N.S.). The
department also offers a program in pre-pharmacy.
