POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Assistant Professor in
Digital Art, tenure-track, full time to begin August 1, 2008.
DATE: Position available August 2008. Screening begins January 31, 2008, and continues until
the position is filled.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach a range of Digital Art
studio courses, such as 3-D Imaging & Animation, Web Design, Digital
Photography, & Art & New Technology.
Further development of & responsibility for Digital Arts area separate
from Graphic Design & Illustration. Continual, personal, creative research; active exhibition record;
committee work in the department, college & University. Advising of students, student reviews & commitment to working for the good of
the whole department.
QUALIFICATIONS: Completed MFA in Digital Arts or related terminal degree with specialization in digital applications. Experience with and ability to teach
Macintosh Creative Suite, Lightwave 3-D, Final-cut Pro, Go-live, Flash & HTML. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to teach
historical & contemporary concepts related to digital arts and new technology. Demonstrable commitment to the teacher/scholar/model,
public and
women and minorities. Excellent written
and oral communications skills.
SALARY: Commensurate with
professional experience and qualifications.
