POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Musical Theatre/Dance Choreographer, Instructor of Theatre & Dance (non-tenure track).
Date: Position available
Primary Responsibilities:

Teach all levels of jazz (including musical
theatre), tap, ballet, music theatre performance and choreography. Ability also to teach any of the following:
movement analysis, principles of teaching dance, dance history, theatre and/or
dance appreciation, and a general education class in creativity.
·
Function as the primary choreographer for
musical theatre productions.
·
Serve as a regular choreographer in studio dance
concerts.
·
Mentor BFA musical theatre & dance majors
and student choreographers.
·
Assist Department with coordination of annual
recruitment campaign.
·
Serve on Department and University committees as
required.
·
Teach and/or choreograph load equivalent to 12
hours per semester.
·
Creative professional development, excellent
teaching and service expected.
·
· Professional experience as a choreographer, dancer, and/or performer in the field of musical theatre and/or dance.
· Demonstrated commitment to working with multicultural populations and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities.
· Significant professional experience with nationally renowned companies and artists.
