POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Assistant
Professor of Spanish. A full-time,
tenure-track position in the Department of Foreign Languages & Anthropology. Review of applicants will begin
DATE: Position available August 2010.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate courses in Spanish
language, culture, and literature and in foreign language pedagogy and
coordinate foreign language education program.
Teaching load is twelve hours (4 courses) per semester. Conduct research and publish in area(s) of
expertise. Advise undergraduate students;
participate in committee work, public service and professional organizations. Willingness to coordinate and participate in
department study abroad and exchange programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Earned Ph.D. in Spanish by
SALARY: Commensurate with
professional experience and qualifications.

and the B.S. Ed. in secondary education to about 210 majors.
