Position:  Full-time Instructor in Elementary Education for extended learning sites.

 

Date:  The position is available immediately and will remain open until filled.  To ensure full consideration, applications must be received by February 1, 2008.

 

Primary Responsibilities:  Teaching elementary methods courses at multiple off-campus sites requiring significant travel.  The successful applicant will collaborate with colleagues at the university and with multiple local school districts to provide quality educational experiences for pre-service teachers.

 

Required Qualifications:  Master's degree in education with significant and diverse teaching experience including a strong background in reading methodology.  Demonstrated history of working with diverse populations and academically at risk students.  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and some weekends, and travel within the Southeast region required.

 

Compensation:  Commensurate with education and experience.  In addition, the University provides an excellent benefits package.
