A Mosaic of Memories
by
Jane Cooper Stacy
Gene Munger's account of growing up in southeast Missouri in the 1940's and 1950's. From his memorable first day of school in 1940 to the day in 1957 when he took the train for New York and the U.S. Navy, the author shares penetrating stories of a society in the midst of change in the middle of the twentieth century. Told always with good humor, Mr. Munger tells us how a caring mother, skilled teachers, great friends, and "tough" coaches prepared a young man to be a distinquished corporate executive and community leader. It is a fascinating journey. |
