A.A. DEGREE TO B. S.E. DEGREE
FRENCH OR SPANISH EDUCATION

Purpose: This curriculum is designed for persons who plan to transfer to Southeast Missouri State University to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in either French or Spanish Education. Jefferson's A.A. degree fulfills the lower division University Studies requirement.

NOTE:  Students with little or no high school French or Spanish who begin with FRN 101 or SPN 101 will not be able to complete this program in 8 semesters because 1 semester of the fourth year is dedicated to Block IV student teaching; therefore, an additional semester is needed to complete the program.  Summer study abroad is recommended to complete the program in four years.  Students beginning FRN 201 or SPN 201 will be able to complete the program in 8 semesters.

Students must be admitted to Teacher Education prior to entry into Block II of the junior year.

Courses in bold are certification or degree requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education which can be fulfilled on the A.A.
