Rend Lake College General Education Courses
Which Meet Southeast University Studies Requirements

Students who complete a transfer Associate Degree from Rend Lake College have completed the lower level University Studies (general education) courses at Southeast Missouri State University.  However, for the student who plans to transfer to Southeast without completing the Associate Degree, the following courses taken at Rend Lake will meet University Studies requirements at Southeast.

PSYC 2102 Child Psychology (required for elementary, early & exceptional child ed majors)
  (middle and secondary ed majors should wait and take the required psychology course at Southeast)

  (all education majors should select one of the American History courses

ECONOMIC SYSTEMS  (Choose ONE Course):
ECON 2101 Principles of Economics I

  (micro & macroeconomics are both required for business administration majors)

POLITICAL SYSTEMS  (Choose ONE Course):
  (A one hour Missouri Government course must be taken at Southeast in addition to the following course:)
