A.S. DEGREE TO B.S.B.A.
DEGREE
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
Purpose: This curriculum is designed for persons who plan to complete an Associate in Science Degree at Rend Lake College and then transfer to Southeast Missouri State University to complete a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree. The Associate in Science Degree fulfills the lower division University Studies requirement. The B.S.B.A. in International Business prepares students for careers in areas that involve international business trade among small businesses and large multinational corporations.
The B.S.B.A. in International Business requires a minor to be selected from any department in the Harrison College of Business with the exception of the Business Administration minor. Major requirements include 9 hours of Foreign Language (French, German, or Spanish). However, students who have demonstrated proficiency in a foreign language or with a multicultural background, and have the permission of the Director of International Business Program, may select nine hours from AN260, PS380, PS595, UI308, UI343, UI349 or other Southeast course(s) approved by the Director. Students must also complete an international experience (international study, internship, etc.) as approved by the Director.
Courses in bold/italics print are requirements of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree. To complete this articulated program, students must have a grade of "C" or better in courses marked by (C) and to transfer directly into the Harrison College of Business, students must have completed their Associate in Science Degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or greater.

# A minimum of 124 hours is required for the B.S.B.A. degree; however, students who major in International Business must also complete a minor consisting of 15-21 hours as part of the degree requirements. Therefore, completion of only 60 hours towards this major will not earn the student a B.S.B.A. degree in International Business. Coursework may also be completed during the summer semesters to prevent 18-21 hours per semester.
