ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
Purpose: This curriculum is designed for persons who plan to complete an Associate of Arts Degree at Shawnee Community College and then transfer to Southeast Missouri State University to complete a Bachelor of Science in Education (Elementary). The Associate of Arts Degree fulfills the lower division University Studies requirement. Students who complete this degree will be certified to teach grades 1 - 6 in Missouri’s public schools. Students desiring a major in Early Childhood or Special Education should follow the first four semesters and then consult an advisor upon transferring to Southeast.
