A.A. DEGREE TO B.S.E. DEGREE
MATHEMATICS EDUCATION

Purpose: This curriculum is designed for persons who plan to complete an Associate of Arts degree at Shawnee Community College and then transfer to Southeast Missouri State University to complete a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in secondary education.  The Associate of Arts degree fulfills the lower division University Studies requirement.

Students must be admitted to Teacher Education prior to entry into Block II of the junior year.

Great attention needs to be paid to the offering of the special subjects techniques course SE 3XX which is normally offered only once a year.  If it is offered in the fall semester, Block II MUST be taken in the spring, as shown here, with student teaching in the spring of the fourth year.  If it is offered in the spring, Block II may be taken in the fall of the third year.
