A.A. DEGREE TO B.S.E.
DEGREE
GERMAN EDUCATION
Purpose: This curriculum is designed for students who plan to transfer to Southeast Missouri State University to complete a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in German education. Southwestern’s A.A. degree fulfills the lower division University Studies requirements.
Students with little or no high school German who begin with GERM 101 will not be able to complete this program in 8 semesters because 1 sem. of the fourth year is dedicated to Block IV student teaching; therefore, an additional semester is needed to complete the program. Summer study abroad is recommended to complete the program in four years. Students beginning GERM 201 will be able to complete the program in 8 semesters. Students must be admitted to Teacher Education before entering Block II of the junior year.
Courses in bold are certification or degree requirements for the B.S. Ed. degree in secondary education which can be fulfilled on the A.A.
