To receive a bachelor's degree from Southeast, at least 30 semester hours must be completed at Southeast and a minimum of 56 hours must be completed from a 4-year institution.
GExxx designates a course which transfer as general elective credit.
xx198, in most cases, indicates a course which transfers as a lower level departmental elective.
xx398, in most cases, indicates a course which transfers an an upper level departmental elective.
PS102 National Government will meet part of the Political systems requirement. PS220 Missouri Government will also be required if PS102 is transferred to Southeast.
Special note for courses completed by correspondence/independent study: Only 10 hours can be accepted in a 12 month period. UI or IU prefix courses, teaching techniques, MA118, MA318, MA418, and courses with a lab component at Southeast CANNOT be taken by correspondence/independent study. Courses taught through the Harrison College of Business must have approval from that college before enrolling in correspondence/independent study courses.
To request approval to transfer a course, completed the Request for Approval of Transfer Credit form in the Registrar's Office or download the form from http://www2.semo.edu/registrar/forms. You may also email approval requests to registrar@semo.edu. University athletes MUST obtain approval in writing before enrolling in courses to transfer back to Southeast.
