WelcomeThe Sikeston Area Higher Education Center was established in January, 1998, through the efforts of many people. Legislation appropriated $1.5 million dollars for the establishment of the Center. Additional funding is being provided through a sales tax that Sikeston residents approved by a large majority. The sales tax raised an additional $3 million dollars. The Center is located 2401 North Main, Sikeston, Missouri, in on Highway 61 North in the new Sikeston Business, Education and Industrial Park. The new building opened in August 2000. The building is designed with eight traditional classrooms, an ITV classroom, electronics laboratory, science laboratory, basic computer laboratory, advanced computer classroom, customized training laboratory, manufacturing laboratory, and an industrial maintenance laboratory. College credit courses from Southeast Missouri State University and Three Rivers Community College, certificate courses, and customized training programs are provided at the Center.
