William "Bill" Vickery
 

As of Oct. 1, 2006, Bill Vickery assumed responsibility of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) after the retirement of its former director, Buz Sutherland.  For six years, Bill held the position of training coordinator for the SBDC at Southeast Missouri State University and has personally delivered more than 300 entrepreneurial sessions to individuals and organizations throughout the region. In October of 2005, Bill was promoted to the Director of Entrepreneurship and Training for Southeast's Innovation Center. He oversees the operation of both the SBDC and the Entrepreneurial Training programs.  Bill holds a bachelor's degree in business management, and he has 25 years previous experience in the banking industry. Bill prides himself on having first-hand knowledge of business ownership when he instructs his classes.  He thinks it helps him relate to his students; having owned a small business several years ago.
